Happy 70th John – Stand By Me

Today would’ve been the 70th birthday of John Lennon.

New Yorkers tend to have a special place in our hearts for Lennon, after he took up residence at the famed Dakota on the western edge of Central Park. And, on a day like this, there’s sure to be a giant crowd, playing guitar, singing, swaying and leaving flowers on the Imagine placard at Strawberry Fields in Central Park.

Here’s my contribution, and a great way to start your Saturday and celebrate this visionary thinker and peace-maker. It’s John singing the classic – Stand By Me.

And it’s a message the world so needs to hear right now. Enjoy…

Thanks for reminding us Jonathan – it’s not just New Yorker’s for whom he has a special place 😉

How true, a great singer, song writer and musician. His song Imagine is one of my all time favourites. A significant ‘peace on earth’ song.

Stand by me. Stand by each other. Cheers Jonathan!

This song is so timely in this day and age where it seems so many are isolated inside of bureaucracies, online culture, and television.

It’s a good thing career renegades carve out their own space and they almost never do it alone 🙂
