Organizers & Attendees Speak Out:
“Thanks to you for a fantastic presentation. It was informative, inspiring and entertaining. The perfect kick off for our career development event. And thank you for being so accessible and flexible along the way. The simulcast was important to reach all of our staff and you pulled it off beautifully.” -Barbara Fitzsimmons, Razorfish
“This guy came in as a favor, at the last minute, and still knocked it out of the park! Jonathan knows how to connect and engage with an audience, and better yet, inspire them to action. Nobody left the room when Jonathan spoke; he drew them in immediately with great storytelling and his passion for the topic” - Terry Starbucker, SOBEvents co-founder
“Our attendees loved him; he got great speaker reviews and positive feedback… Jonathan was one of our featured speakers for the World-Changing Writing Workshop. His presentation was polished, informative, and inspiring. He told our audience a story that got us all so excited and riled up, we were ready to pull out our credit cards and buy whatever he was talking about — even though he just made it up on the spot! Our students loved him; he got great speaker reviews and positive feedback. Jonathan will fire you up, then give you what you need to actually do something with it. -Pace Smith, Co-founder World Changing Writers Conference
“Jonathan was, without question, one of the most popular speakers at our recent International Freelancers Day conference. Days after the event, you could still feel the buzz and excitement in our discussion forums from his ideas and insights. Several attendees even contacted me directly to tell me how much value they got out of his presentation. Besides being an engaging speaker, Jonathan is also a pleasure to work with. He gave a lot of thought to developing a topic that would resonate well with our audience. He also stayed in touch throughout the process, and he came through on all his commitments. Overall, a true professional—can’t wait to work with him again!” -Ed Gandia, Co-founder, International Freelancers Day conference
“Jonathan had the insane task of speaking last after an incredible jam-packed weekend… and he knocked it out of the park! His calm and inviting presence was the perfect way to bring together all the life-changing moments of the weekend. I especially appreciated his message of “taking bold consistent action in the face of uncertainty.” Bravo Jonathan!” -Monica McCarthy · MonicaMcCarthy.net
I was blown away by the conference as a whole, but still feeling a little bit lost by the end of it all. Jonathan came in with not only a soothing presence that was measured and gentle, but also he provided concrete strategies for how to cope with the future. He gave reasons and explanations, and referred to research, but without getting overly technical or obscure. All of this was delivered smoothly and coherently to a tired audience, and yet I believe most were tuned-in and attentive. I’ve also had a good experience in follow up, where I was able to tweet Jonathan to ask about a meditation app that he described during his talk, and he took the time to answer my tweet and direct me to the correct item. He walks the talk. I was glad to hear what he had to say, and feel extremely fortunate to have been present. - Jackie Shelley · FrontRow Antics
“Jonathan stepped up to the plate (er, stage) in the proverbial bottom of the 9th inning (last speaker). By all accounts (least of all mine), he hit a grand slam for the win! I venture a conservative estimate that 95+% of the conference attendees were still present for Jonathan’s talk on Uncertainty. The reasons why that number is so high means everything and all point to a single truth – Jonathan commands attention, respect, and admiration. He has a gentle stage presence that isn’t contrived nor domineering. He makes you feel at home in your seat; you’d swear you were entertaining him as a family guest in your sitting room. Further, Jonathan’s magic stems from his great storytelling abilities and prodigious knack at illustrating thoughts in your mind. And his marshaling of facts, quotes, and research-backed anecdotes cement his credibility as a thought-leader not to be ignored.” -Matt Gartland · Gartland Studios, LLC
“Jonathan Fields spoke to a room of mostly accountants. His experience and charismatic personality kept the audience interested. He talk was relevent and compelling. I would love to hear him speak again.” -Kerri Stern, Hospitality and Technical Professionals Meeting April 2011, Kerri Stern
“Thanks for all the great info and ideas – I wrote two pages of notes!: I was lucky enough to have caught your Manifesto presentation last week at Blogworld and it was easily one of the best and most inspiring I saw. In my opinion your biggest strengths are…you told great stories and your passion for the subject was unmistakable.” - Edwin Jansen
“Jonathan Fields was the speaker that intrigued me the most. He continued the theme of building a successful business through doing a small thing well in ways that deliver value. But he wrapped it in the technique of understanding customers down to what kind of car they would drive and what they think about as a way of reaching them. By knowing these things and knowing your business you are better able to connect with people through storytelling.
As Jonathan shared, nothing touches people or brings them into your world better than a story showing you understand them, but most businesses overlook this simple fact. In a room full of business owners who are either using, or are deeply interested in, social media this talk on storytelling struck a chord. Many conference attendees saw new and better ways to get their messages out after helping each other apply the storytelling principals Jonathan shared to their businesses.” - Brett Greene, Blind Influence
“He wow’d me. Outstanding, amazing (running out of adjectives here) presentation. Really powerful new insights…a really cutting edge thinker and knocked some new thought leadership out of the ballpark.”
“This was one of the best speakers I saw so far at BlogWorld Expo [out of nearly 300]. Jonathan Fields has used manifestos as a way to create a sales funnel, which is a completely different type of product launch tool. At BlogWorld 2010, he spoke about what a manifesto is, why this is a good way to launch a product, and how you can go about doing it.” - Allison Boyer, After Graduation/Blogworld
“Jonathan has a style that is both very precise and purposeful, and yet disarming at the same time. There’s an earnestness and authenticity that he possesses that really hits home, and he doesn’t just deliver that – he delivers the goods.” -Mike Vardy, Vardy.me
