As President of Professional Organizers in Canada I always felt trapped by this idea. In 2004 when I became president there were very few organizers in Canada making a full-time living and yet because we wanted to grow the industry we wouldn't talk that much about the realities. Plus since many organizers offer services like coaching, home sale staging or product resale or billed clients for subcontractors, it was very difficult to determine what exactly a decent living as an organizer was. On top of that many organizers were second income earners so their goals weren't to earn lots and lots - it was simply supplemental income.

That's all changed now and the Association has developed much better ways of tracking income and it shares the information freely with its members.

I love this topic. I am often in contact with those in direct marketing and/or MLM businesses. Some of them are very good companies with great products/services but the industry has a bad rep because such a small number of folks can provide compelling evidence of success.

Great marketing tip reminder. It's about what you can do for your client. Period.

Keep it coming.
