When I first heard about the book, The First 30 Days, by Ariane de Bonvoisin, I was intrigued…
Maybe it was due to my longstanding interest in Buddhism or because the central message resonates so closely with one of my favorite books, Comfortable With Uncertainty by Pema Chodron.
Fact is, about the only thing we know for sure is that life is uncertain.
Change is a regular part of the process. Sometimes we see it coming and embrace what it’s bringing. Other times, we’re blindsided and hope desperately to sidestep it’s impact.

It’s amazing how many folks want to write books…
People I’ve known from all walks of life, from bowlers to bloggers, seem to share a similar jones. Sometimes, it’s about the love of writing, creating, expressing, influencing. Sometimes it’s about legacy, the desire to teach, share or guide or just straight up ego. Other times, it’s all about business, making money, either directly from the book or indirectly from where the book leads. For me, admittedly, it’s a combination of all of the above.

What’s it all about? The title pretty much says it all, the book explores the problem with trying to multitask and reveals the dark underbelly of what’s become a badge of honor in the modern business world…it doesn’t work.

What Makes It Different? Before I get to what makes the book different, I really have to address something…the title and the promise. Um, how do I say this, the title is just plain cheesy (normally, I love cheesy, especially if there’s a strong marketing purpose behind it, but this time, no). And, the promise is a bit sketchy, Fox defines online “millionaires” in a variety of ways that others might not agree with.
