Can You Still Go Renegade When You’re Bleeding Cash?

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

I’ve gotten a lot of questions about becoming a Career Renegade since releasing the book in January. So, today, I launched a new Ask Career Renegade column over at the blog.

Here’s the first question I answer…

What if someone is laid off, in crisis, about to lose so many things- house etc. Do you still recommend the Career Renegade approach? Or should that someone still look for a regular job to save what they have and THEN do the Career Renegade approach? I know so many people in this dilemma who are out of savings..Thanks! :)”

Here’s the latest round-up of responses to a handful of questions that have come my way through the Ask Jonathan box over on the right…

Q: What sort of writing do you do when you’re not blogging? Also, where do you get your inspiration and information from?

A: My writing is split into three major pursuits. One is blogging. Two is books and articles for print (magazines and newspapers). And, three is direct-response copywriting, which is quickly becoming a major passion of mine.

I’ve had my Ask Jonathan advice box up on the right column for a few weeks now and gotten questions on a wide range of topics, so I figured I’d answer a few of them in today’s post. In fact, I think I will probably make this an every-Friday thing, next week, I’ll answer more of the “lifestyle/career” questions I’ve received.

So, here we go…

Q: Can you direct me to a place where I can learn how to do that video thing and rss button? My 8 year old has a blog and he wants to do a video like yours.
